I’m going to work on this project when it comes to London in April for the Spill Festival. It sounds awesome. The idea is that 72 audience members send along their measurements and are allocated a dress in which they are dressed, for a soiree in period dress from 1880-1910. They have their hair and make up done and then they drink Champagne. There’s entertainment in the form of tableau vivant, gramophone DJ and lectures on astrology. So basically anyone who’s ever wanted to take a plunge into the middle of Downton Abbey/ Titanic/ Forsythe Saga has the experience to really go to the ball for the night. The show was in Edinburgh but now it comes down to the Barbican and is collaborating with the Wellcome centre, so some of the speakers are really cool (I’m not saying who). It sounds just up my street decadent and awesome.
