La Traviata Paper Theatre

Nia writes:

This week I created a paper theatre based on the opera La Traviata for an animation for Uni. We had to bring in a record sleeve and create some kind of moving image based on it. Mine was an adorable 45 of the opera with the figure below photographed on the front. So in response I made a little theatre and photocopied the the LP front, cutting out the women and made a stop motion animation. I took a lot of inspiration in creating the theatre from Victorian paper toys and ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’. The animation, in the end, was not the best thing on the planet (animation is definitely not my forte), but the theatre was delightful and lots of fun to make.
